Job Description

Pay Range: $40 – $46/hr . The pay rate may differ depending on your skills, education, experience, and other qualifications.

Work Schedule: Standard schedule is 9/80 (9 hours per workday with every other Friday off), Potential for limited overtime and occasional work on “off Fridays”.

Job Description:     **On-site only**

  • Designs sequence of operations and specifies procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance.
  • Adapts machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions.
  • May incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan.
  • Inspects performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency, and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality.
  • Develops manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control, and may develop those techniques.
  • Provides guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
  • Ensures processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Experience working directly with assembly technicians, ideally some hands-on experience with high-reliability composites or electro-mechanical assembly processes.
  • Demonstrates ability to identify problems and bring cross-functional group together to find a resolution.
  • Experience with Process Development for manufacturing of a new design.
  • Root Cause and Corrective Action experience (RCCA) – demonstrate ownership over identifying root cause and implementing a corrective action.
  • 2-8 years of experience working in high-reliability manufacturing environment (e.g. automotive, aerospace, biomedical industry).
  • Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, or Systems engineering bachelor’s degree from reputable university.
  • NASA J-STD certification a plus, but not required.
